Wood slices from Australian eucalyptus, with resin filling. 
 
Each wood slice is cut from a naturally fallen tree, preserved and air-dried. During the drying, some wood slices will develop cracks in the middle. These are filled with resin in green, blue, red or purple colour. 
 
Each wood slice is then sanded to smoothness & additionally preserved with six layers of highest quality food-grade French walnut oil. 
 
Our resin wood slices have a diameter of approx. 20 – 25 cm with the thickness of approx. 2 -3 cm. The bark was removed and the sides of the slices are sanded.
 
Each wood slice is carefully and individually crafted, to bring out the beautiful appearance of native Australian eucalyptus. Slight differences in size result from natural differences in diameter of branches and handcraft. Every single resin wood slice will be different, with various shape & size of the resin-filled splits.
